Louisville Optional Tours now available!
Consider enhancing your Rally experience by joining us on one of the exciting optional tours or by attended one of these educational classes. Tour and class reservations can be made online when you register, or if you are already signed up for The Good Sam Rally, call 1-877-749-7122 to have a class or tour added to your reservation. We recommended that you sign up for optional tours and classes as quickly as possible, since space is limited. There’s something in Louisville and the surrounding area for every interest!
The Good Sam Louisville Rally Is All Things RV!
The Good Sam Club just wrapped up the first of our 2012 Rallies, presented by DISH, and 3,370 RVs packed with happy campers are now on their way home from Phoenix International Raceway. Arizona Rally-goers were royally entertained by none other than Bill Cosby, Martina McBride, Bowzer from Sha Na Na and the popular Beatles tribute band, Ticket to Ride. In total, 8,000 Phoenix Rally participants shopped at more than 350 exhibitor booths, marveled at 500 new RVs on display and even test-drove a few motorhomes on the racetrack! With hundreds of informative RV-lifestyle seminars under their belts, Rally guests left the event feeling not only more knowledgeable and well entertained, but they also made new friends from across the continent.
Now it’s time to gear up for the next 2012 Good Sam Rally, presented by DISH, taking place June 21–24 in Louisville, Kentucky. This Rally venue is one of the best in North America — the Kentucky Exposition Center, where all of the activities, including the RV exhibits and evening entertainment, will be housed under one air-conditioned roof!
Once again, the Good Sam Rally will present outstanding entertainment each evening in the expo center’s acclaimed Freedom Hall. Rally-goers can sing along to “The First Cut Is the Deepest,” “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on my Head” and “All the Gold in California,” because the headline entertainment features superstar and Grammy winner Sheryl Crow, Grammy-winning composer and musician Burt Bacharach and Country Music Association Award winners the Gatlin Brothers. They can also shake their hips to “Jailhouse Rock” during the Elvis-impersonator contest for Rally guests. Word has it that the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll himself (or a reasonable facsimile) may also be in the building!
Seminars presented by the RV community’s leaders and experts will also take place in Louisville. Propane safety, RV tires, improving engine performance, crafts, healthy cooking and eating on the road are just some of the 130-plus seminars included in the Rally fee. Kids and grandkids will be kept busy with our highly regarded full children’s program. And Rally-goers’ traveling pups aren’t left out, as they compete in the popular dog show and pet parade.
Some new Rally activities were introduced in Phoenix, and they’ll be offered again in Louisville. Rally guests will have the opportunity to win thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes at daily drawings by earning “Smiles” they can enter in the raffle. We’ll also take time to salute our veterans, with members of each branch of the armed services invited to march in the procession. Don’t delay, because early bird discount prices for the Louisville Rally expire on April 15, 2012.

And Rally guests from all over the U.S. and Canada were treated to some great non-winter weather, a taste of Arizona’s history and culture, fabulous entertainment and the chance to make new RVing friends.

Get Crafty at The Phoenix Rally!
Professional craft teacher Pam Rider, will express her love of the Southwest at the Phoenix Rally with instruction in two unique crafts: a Bear Claw Paper Quilt and a Zuni Fetish. Guests will be divided into two groups, each doing one of the crafts, and then they will switch to do the second craft. All participants must bring their own scrapbook paper, (3 sheets – 1 solid color, 1 overall print and 1 small print), scissors, glue stick, and pencil. Patterns large samples, additional supplies, and directions will be provided.
Class 1: March 22 from 10-11:30 a.m.
Class 2: March 23 from 10-11:30 a.m.
Class 3: March 24 from 10-11:30 a.m.

Calling all Blanketeers
We are delighted to announce that Good Sam will partner with Project Linus for a Blanket Drive at all three 2012 Rallies. Project Linus is a nationwide non-profit organization that provides blankets for children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Blankets are collected locally and distributed to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug!
Good Sam Rally guests can get involved by knitting, crocheting, quilting blankets for donation and bringing them to the Rally. Children and new crafters can participate also by making no-sew fleece blankets.

In an ongoing effort to thank our host community, Rally guests were invited to participate in our third annual Volunteer Day on July 12. This year The Rally adopted Redmond-Sisters Hospice, providing compassionate end –of- life care to the Central Oregon community since 1981. Participating Rally guests worked to beautify the hospice grounds and some designated patient residences. It was a great day had by all!

Good times at the July 2011 Good Sam Rally in Redmond, Oregon. On July 17, Rally-goers broke the world record for the Most Simultaneous High-Fives with 1,798 slapped hands. Redmond Mayor George Endicott and Redmond Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Eric Sande witnessed the event, which has been submitted to Guinness for world record confirmation.
