The Rally’s Got Talent

Sunday night’s Rally entertainment is going to showcase our guests’ talents! “The Rally’s Got Talent” invites all Rally attendees to strut their stuff at our final night’s show! Talent comes in many forms…whether you sing, dance, play a musical instrument…you’re invited to audition during the week. Finalists will perform on Sunday evening, July 25. Don’t be shy….give us a preview of your particular talent and provide us with a video by clicking here….we can share your show!
Eligibility Requirements:
1) Must be a registered Rally participant to enter (Passport ok)
2) Must participate in a live audition at the Rally.
3) Contestants may perform as a solo act or as ensemble act; however a contestant may enter in only one act.
4) Video submissions can be up to 90 seconds long. Live performance can be up to 3 minutes long.
5) If accepted for an audition, contestants must provide their own equipment. Background music must be provided on a high quality CD, labeled with your name or group name. You do not need to provide a CD player. Accepted contestants must also provide an equipment list and stage plot prior to the live audition, and if selected to perform in the finals, be available to rehearse during the afternoon of Sunday, July 25.
6) No pyrotechnics, including fire, flame batons, sparklers or fog.
7) The Rally reserves the right to withhold any video with might be considered offensive.
8) Applications must be prepared to have their videos viewed by the public.
9) By entering, entrants agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges.
Our Right to Use Your Work and Information About You
- Submission materials become the property of Affinity Group, Inc.
- You represent and warrant that the contents of videos are wholly original and have been created entirely by the entrant and that submission of materials do not and shall not violate any law or the copyright, trademark privacy right or any other right of any third party.
- By providing a video in connection with this Contest, you grant to the Rally, Affinity Group, Inc., and YouTube the right, except where prohibited by law, to use your name, likeness, picture, address (city and state), and video for advertising and promotional purposes in promoting or publicizing the video and The Rally and it’s host companies without compensation.
- By entering this contest, you represent and warrant that each person appearing in the video expressly agrees to all the terms and conditions set forth in these official rules; each person appearing in the video provides his/her express permission to appear in the submission materials; and each person appearing in the video is aware of and consents to the display of the submission materials on The Rally, Facebook, and YouTube websites.
How to Upload Your Video
To upload your video, you must have an account with YouTube. Here’s how to do it:
- Go to www.youtube.com.
- Click “Sign In” at the top of the page to create your account. (If you don’t have an account, click the sign up for YouTube button, and follow the instructions).
- Go to The Rally’s Got Talent page at http://www.youtube.com/channel/rallysgottalent and select SUBMIT A VIDEO in the upper right corner.
- Upload your video. Please note that all submissions require approval before they will show up. Please wait 2 working days before resubmitting.
- In order for you act to be registered for the contest, you must complete the registration from by Clicking Here.
Selection of Winners!
Qualifying acts will be judged based on the following criteria: Talent (70%), Appearance (10%), Poise (15%), and Audience appeal (5%). The Rally Judges will select the finalists by July 5th, 2010. Finalists will then be notified of their live audition date & time, to be held at The Rally in Louisville prior to the final performance on the evening of July 25.
