Visit Dogs for the Deaf on Your Way to The Rally!
DFD will be open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10 for guests on their way to the Rally. DFD will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. during the rest of July. All tours take approximately one hour and will begin promptly at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. A limited number of free dry camping spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to anyone who wants to spend the night at the facility.
Dogs for the Deaf and the Good Sam Club have been working together for 30 years. Good Sam chapters and members have generously supported the special work of this organization – rescuing dogs from shelters and training them to help people. In addition to training Hearing Dogs, DFD also trains dogs to help children with autism and people who suffer from trauma, stroke, panic/anxiety attacks, depression, arthritis, etc. DFD places these trained dogs free of charge with applicants nationwide.
Thanks to the commitment of Good Sam chapter members, thousands of unwanted dogs who would have been euthanized have been saved by DFD and have gone on to live full lives of love and service.
